Friendly Rapid Fire Opal is a rock trinket added in The Reheated Update.

Effects

• Upon entering a room, equips Golem with an assault rifle that halves his tear delay, grants +6.25 range and +1.0 shot speed and fires bullets that pierce through enemies and have increased knock-back.
• The assault rifle can fire up to 12 bullets, after which it disappears, removing all stat bonuses until another room is entered.

Notes

• The rifle can be aimed and shot in all 8 cardinal and ordinal directions.
  • If Mouse Control is enabled, or if playing with an analog stick, the rifle can be aimed anywhere within 360° around Golem.
• Once equipped, the rifle cannot be unequipped until all bullets are fired.
• The rifle's bullets are not affected by most tear replacements, such as Brimstone, Dr. Fetus and Mom's Knife, and the rifle will replace these item's effects in each room until all of its bullets are spent. Tear effects will still apply to the bullets.

Interactions

• 20/20 / The Inner Eye / Mutant Spider: Golem holds multiple assault rifles at once based on the amount of multi-shot. Does not have an effect on the ammo of each assault rifle.
• Rubber Bullets: Synergizes with Friendly Rapid Fire Opal, making all bullets the assault rifle fires guaranteed to inflict Bruising on enemies hit.
• Trinket Multipliers / Henge Rock: Affects the amount of ammo the assault rifle starts with, as well as the additional Range and Shot Speed granted by the rifle.
• Fiendish Amethyst: Increases the base amount of ammo in the assault rifle to 18, before Trinket Multipliers. This base amount is not affected by any Trinket Multipliers affecting Fiendish Amethyst itself.
• Swallowed M90: Swallowed M90's sniper rifle takes priority over Friendly Rapid Fire Opal's assault rifle once equipped. Once the sniper rifle's bullet is fired, Golem will switch back to the assault rifle.
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Friendly Rapid Fire Opal rerolls it into Minichibisidian.

Trivia

• Friendly Rapid Fire Opal is a reference to the character named Friend from Maria's iconic Imp Gang. She is a hotheaded orange-colored imp who is an avid gunslinger and pyromancer, and is the rival to Fiend.
